Low pressure reducing valves ZM-R inline & LPR angle valve
The pressure reducers of the types ZM-R and LPR are diaphragm-controlled, spring-loaded and automatic proportional regulators. All parts in contact with the product are usually made of stainless steel 1.4571 / 1.4404 or Hastelloy C. The valve cone is soft-sealing with a valve seal made of perfluoroelastomer (Kalrez / Chemraz / J-6000) or fluoroelastomer (Viton). The tightness of the valve shut-off corresponds at least to VDI / VDE guideline 2174 or DIN EN 1349.
Functionality:
Pressure reducing valves regulate the pressure behind the valve.
When the pipeline is depressurized, the adjusting spring holds the valve cone in the open position. The fluid flows under pressure from the inlet side (P1) through the valve seat and acts on the diaphragm-spring system from the outlet side (downstream pressure P2). At the diaphragm, the downstream pressure to be regulated is in equilibrium with the force of the adjusting spring (setpoint). If the downstream pressure rises above the setpoint set on the adjusting screw, the valve cone is moved towards the seat. As a result, the throughput can be throttled or the valve can also be completely closed. Conversely, the flow increases when the downstream pressure falls below the setpoint. The control accuracy can be increased by an external control line (/ C).
Product variants:
ZM-R inline & LPR angle valves are suitable for gases
the working pressure being above atmospheric pressure.
ZM-R / N inline & LPR / N angle valves are suitable for gases
and work below atmospheric pressure in a vacuum.
Product option:
The dome variant (/ D) option contains a connection for an external pneumatic control signal. This enables the pressure setpoint preset by the spring to be varied (dome pressure maximum 2 bar; IP68).
* Option: weather protection cap (for IP54)
