Back pressure relief valve PPR
The back pressure relief valve PPR is independent and can be used for gases and liquids. It is used where a pressure has to be kept constant or limited and reacts without delay.
All parts in contact with the product are usually made of stainless steel 1.4571 or Hastelloy C.
Functionality:
Back pressure relief valves regulate the pressure upstream of the valve.
When the pipeline is depressurized, the adjusting spring holds the valve cone in the closed position.
If the inlet pressure (P1) is above the set value, the valve is opened. If the primary pressure (P1) falls, the valve is closed again and the pre-pressure is maintained.
The tightness of the valve closure corresponds at least to the VDI / VDE guideline 2174 or DIN EN 1349.
PPR is vacuum-tight and is manufactured in an oil- and grease-free version.
The dome variant (/ D) option contains a connection for an external pneumatic control signal. This enables the pressure setpoint preset by the spring to be varied (dome pressure maximum 2 bar; IP68).
